I was never able to get into LOTR.

Harry Potter is definitely one of my favorite series ever though

XD wow. That's a pretty massive thing to miss. She pretty much dedicated an entire chapter to how he died and Harry dug his grave by hand and buried him.

^^ I still think DH was the worst book of the series though; it was such a mess.

Ahaha, yeah..... I must have just stared at the book the first time through, because that is a big thing to completely forget. But at least I remembered what happened after my second time reading it!

I loved all three series, but I loved Lord of the Rings the most. The movies are great too.

I'm watching Narnia.. And I was just thinking about it and HP... Compared to twilight... Given I haven't read the books and I've only seen parts of the movie... But it seems to me that Twilight takes a word that already exists with concepts that already existed and adds some human drama and a few twists... Where as LOTR, HP, and Narnia seem to be more creative to me... Tolkein, Rowling,, and Lewis all created an actual world for you to be apart of and to explore.... Middle Earth, The Wizarding World, and Narnia... There is so much depth to the story lines... It's not always about the literary aspects of a writer (not that these shouldn't be counted amungst the greats) but its about drawling a reader into the world of the story... Making them want to know more abput it... And want to discover as much about the world that you've created as is possible... When JKR is interviewed her fans don't want to know about the editing process of her book... Or the perspective... Or why she chose to word it like she didM.. The fans want to know more in depth details about the characters and the world... That is why I love these stories... The feed the creative nature inside of us... The spark something inside of you that brings you to life... It makes you laugh, cry, think...

I know I'm a bit late on this discussion but the only series I've read out of these is HP. I've seen the movies though and loved them so I guess I really should read the books huh?
