well its set in the future, but its not like a sci-fi book or anything. But its about a girl that lives in district 12 of Panem ( futuristic country) and finds herself being forced to enter what they call "the Hunger Games" Each year, the districts are forced by the Capitol to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the Hunger Games, a brutal and terrifying fight to the death - televised for all of Panem to see. it sounds brutal, but it was good. im reading the sequel "Catching Fire" now. lol not as good as the Twilight Saga, but theyre tying me over for now.
