She reacted in a pretty diva-ish way, what with the whole "my state of mind has been tampered with and I'm probably going to kill off all the Cullens" thing. So... yeah, no, she probably won't finish it.

I haven't read it, so I can't put an opinion on how it was written, but the way I see it, it wasn't honestly necessary. I'd be much more interested if she wrote something on Edward's life before Bella, how he dealt with becoming a vampire, etc.

actually her website does say that midnight sun is her next project

She has not yet finished writing it (and there is no timeline set up, so we all need to put a lot of effort into being patient for a while longer), but she is definitely still planning on having it published. yeah I think she overreacted about the leak but in all honesty I think any author would have reacted the same way as far as not finishing it goes the whole killing edward and the other cullens was a bti extremem but she was hurt and angry and had every right to be. JMO

Let's just hope she'll go through with the book.
Cos a lot of fans are waiting for it.
I know about how Steph feels about the issue.
But I believe she'll finish it, she just need some time.
